If you do not need a full written appraisal, we offer a variety of consultation services.
Identification Service. We examine and test your gem stones and/or jewelry as to what it is you really have, and what it is worth on the wholesale, retail and used market levels. If you have an antique or collectable piece of jewelry we will provide you with information regarding its circa (age) and style. If the proper markings are present, we can tell you who made it, as well as where it was made. This service is performed while you wait, and your jewelry is always in your presence.
Confirmation of Value. For internet jewelry purchases, or jewelry purchases made from someone in the public, a friend or acquaintance. We can examine your jewelry and tell you if you paid too much, or even too little, or a fair price. If it turns out what you purchased is not what you were told you were getting, we will inform you of that. If you wish to get your money back, we are available to verbally share and explain our findings and rationale to the person you bought it from if required. This service is also performed while you wait, and again, your jewelry is always in your presence.
Property Identification and Verification. If you are having your jewelry repaired, or loaning it to a member of the family, or for whatever reason. We are happy to view your jewelry, show you under magnification, as well as point out to you and write down the major identifying features of any major diamond or gemstone in your jewelry. When you receive your jewelry back from being repaired, or loaned out, we will review it against our notes. We will again assist you in viewing it for yourself so you can see that you have received the same property back. If it turns out your property is not the same, or something has happened, we are available to verbally share and explain our findings and rationale to the other party for recompense and/or replacement purposes if required. This service is also performed while you wait, and your jewelry is always in your presence.
Private Sale Pricing.
1. If you are planning to sell your jewelry to a friend, we can assist you in determining a fair price. Likewise, we can alert you to any condition issues that should be taken care of, or disclosed to the buyer so you are protected.
2. Having a Garage or Estate Sale? Don’t give away the farm for pennies. We can review your property and separate the wheat from the chaff. We can advise you of values so you can price intelligently rather than shooting in the dark as to what you think it might be worth.
